Substitute Mark Spiers inspired Idle under-16s to a 5-2 victory over Guiseley in the West Riding County FA Junior Cup.

Idle were trailing 1-0 at half-time but the introduction of Spiers turned the tide as he scored four times.

Stephen Black netted the other goal to ensure a place in the last 16 of the competition.

Elsewhere Eccleshill United under-14s won 5-0 at Calverley United.

Asher Holdsworth was outstanding in goal as Aiden Chippendale (2), Ben Bodle, Josh Camponi and Curtis Braybrook provided the firepower.

Bingley under-16s saw off Nab Wood 5-0, while the club's under-12s came from 2-0 down to beat Dalton Boys 3-2.

There was confusion for Bingley's under-14s as they drew 2-2 against Harrogate Railway, with goals by Sam Jacomb and James Grogan, before winning a penalty shoot-out.

Unfortunately a study of the rules showed penalties should not have been taken and the game must be replayed.

Nathan Margerison fired the winner as Myrtle Park under-sevens staged a superb Keybury League comeback from two goals behind to win 3-2 at high-flying Bolton Woods.

Influential skipper Rhys Allen and striker Jack Thornton netted to bring Park level before Margerison's first goal for the club settled the issue.

Westwood Juniors under-sevens maintained their good form as both the Jets and Dolphins racked up big scores in winning at Horsforth.

The Jets triumphed 10-0 with hat-tricks from Jake Dawson and Joe Allan and four goals by Ethan Labad.

The Dolphins were even more emphatic, winning 15-0 as Joel Craig and Dominic Anderson scored four each and Callum Armitage claimed his first hat-trick for the club.

Westwood Jets kept up winning ways at under-nine level with a 3-0 verdict at Wilsden, Roy Kimachia (2) and Joe Stephenson supplying the goals.

The Dolphins battled hard but lost

6-3, with their goals shared between Connor McShera, Aaron Bland and Danny Rand.

Nab Wood Rovers under-tens sprang another surprise on the leading pack in their division with a 1-1 draw at title-chasing Silsden.

A first-half own goal appeared enough to decide the contest in favour of the home team before Matthew Woodus set up Sam Kelly for Nab Wood's equaliser.

Leaders Nab Wood under-nines extended their unbeaten start to the season to eight games with a 2-0 win over near rivals Oakworth Stingers.

The win, with goals from Harry Taylor and Nikhil Vekaria, opened an eight-point gap between the teams.

Sandy Lane Juniors were unbeaten in four matches, with the under-eights the only side not to win as even Connor Braid's efforts could not break a 0-0 outcome against Eldwick.

The under-nines beat Prospect 3-1 as great passing by Jordan Trainor set up goals for Jeremiah Witter (2) and Liam McDonald.

Jack Hallam scored twice as Sandy Lane's under-tens beat Gomersal 5-1. Sam Metcalfe, Curtis Gilbert and Reece Windle were also on target.

The under-11s beat Menston Rangers 4-2 through goals by Louise Witter (2), Thomas Yeadon and Cameron Foster.

Dan Scott fired Oakworth under-eights B into an early lead but they had to settle for a 1-1 draw against Bingley B, who also missed a penalty. Jack McGarry made two vital interceptions to keep Oaks in the game.

Bradford Tigers A lost 1-0 at Menston Rangers A in what was a great advert for under-nines football.

Lucas Clayden, who played a lone role up front on a huge and heavy pitch, was denied an equaliser.

Jordan Clements, who was man of the match in goal for Tigers, played out for the B team and scored with a Beckham-like free-kick in a 3-1 defeat.

Bingley under-sevens logged a 4-1 win at Oakworth thanks to goals by Billy Whitfield, Charlie Hall, Faisal Ali and Harry Warren.

The under-tens won 2-0 against Dudley Hill, goals coming from Robert Carberry and man-of-the-match Gem Hanbury.

Bingley's under-tens B team were 8-2 winners, also against Dudley Hill. Jake Ellison was leading player as Ethan Robson scored twice.

Aaron Evans was outstanding in midfield as Eccleshill United under-eights drew 2-2 at Horsforth. Aaron Day and Alex Bannon scored.

Eccleshill's under-nines were denied by a last-minute goal in their 3-2 defeat at Keighley Shamrocks after Liam Towriss and Gage Faulkner

had pulled the scores level from 2-0 down.

At under-tens level, Eccleshill United Scorpions were unable to make the most of their chances and lost 2-1 at Horsforth. Thomas House was the only scorer.

James Murtagh bagged two goals for Bradford Wildcats as they earned a 5-1 win at under-11 rivals Bankfoot.

Goals from Cameron Atkinson and Bradley Pearson earned Myrtle Park JKs a valuable under-nines point as they drew 2-2 against fellow high-fliers Shelf A.

Eccleshill United's under-13s A team hammered Shipley Tigers 12-1 in the Craven League as Jordan Foster and Ben Jennings scored four and Asika Ajufo added a hat-trick.

The club's under-13s C team went to Bolton Woods on the back of five clean sheets but surrendered a 2-0 lead to draw 2-2. Joe Greenwood and Stephen Wilkinson supplied their goals.

Oliver Butterfield and Oliver Stephenson played well in midfield as further goals were added by Ben Geary, Billy Davis, Tom McCann and Conagh Darwin.

Bingley under-16s B when down 4-2 to Shipley A in the Craven League Cup after surrendering an early 2-0 lead.

Gareth Thompson, Luke Chapman and Joe Walker Kaye were the scorers after Long Lee had held on at 3-3 until after half-time.

Prospect Juniors got back to winning ways with a much-improved performance as they won 7-1 at Churwell Lions in the Garforth League.

Luke Dickenson opened the scoring after a goalmouth scramble, then Oli Eli lobbed the keeper from 30 yards.

Eli went on to score another three goals, all from some distance in a man-of-the-match performance.

Karamjit Basi scored twice to be Albion Sports Juniors A team's player of the match but finished on the losing side in a 4-2 under-nines reverse at Gildersome Spurs A.

The Albion B team deserved better than just a 1-1 draw against Gildersome. Ryan Watling equalised and then Adam Hussain missed a great chance to snatch victory.

Farsley Celtic Juniors under-11s did not disgrace themselves against unbeaten Pannal Ash but lost 2-0.

Josh Fairbrother, Keelan Milner, William Buck and especially Oliver Beard excelled in defence for the Celts.

Farsley under-12s were indebted to goalkeeper Johnny Lines for some excellent saves as they drew 2-2 at Kirkstall Crusaders.

Josh Maskill gave Farsley the lead but it needed a late equaliser from the same player to rescue a point.

Andrew Mortimore scored five of Bradford Park Avenue's under-sevens B team's goals in their 7-0 victory against Dalton in the Huddersfield League. Kioren Baker and Max Clayton were also on target.

The Park Avenue A team were not so fortunate, losing 5-3 to the same opposition despite goals from Hiram Beckett, Rebecca Rayner and Curtis Peters.
