A film set at a Baildon bus stop, another shot in a Cottingley shed and a third featuring Skipton's friendly folk will be watched by film fans from across the UK in Bradford next week.
Short films made in Bradford by new directors, producers and writers will be screened during the city's 11th international film festival.
Regional film agency Screen Yorkshire challenged budding film-makers to devise and shoot a short film, using digital technology, in just five days.
Thirty directors, writers and producers chosen from hundreds of applicants worked in teams, filming around the district and region.
Three of the nine - Sticky, Shed and Dead Man's Handle - were made in Bradford. Others were filmed in Leeds, Sheffield and York and on the East coast.
The project was aimed at developing a new generation of film-makers through Screen Yorkshire's Caught Short: Focus programme. "It's part of the UK Film Council's nationwide Digital Shorts initiative to make innovative short films using new technology," said Screen Yorkshire spokesman Jacky Dickins. "Filming took place in areas that suited the subject of each film. The editing took place in a suite at the Victoria Hotel in Bradford."
Caroline Cooper, Short Film Executive for the UK Film Council, said: "It is only by allowing new talent to collaborate and develop their skills in a supportive environment that we will encourage the next generation of distinctive film-makers in the UK."
The short films will be screened at the National Mus-eum of Photography, Film and Television in Bradford on Thursday, March 10.
The Bradford Film Festival begins on Friday with a gala dinner attended by guest star Jenny Agutter who will be presented with a lifetime achievement award by Leeds TV writer Kay Mellor. The festival runs until March 19.
